Though Elizabeth says she doesn't mind which choice John takes, it is obvious she wants him to confess. Though their relationship is still fragile, she loves John and doesn't want to see him leave her. She tries to convince him to confess however after deep thought John decides not too, as he wants to stay truthful to god. Elizabeth reluctantly agrees.
